Last I checked you didn't need one BUT it sure make it easier... I suggest always taking your passport... way less hassle

I would hope so, as I know that you definitely need a U.S. Passport or green card with travel passport to travel to Mexico. Simple having a drivers license won't work down there.

Yes, Im going to mexico next month and my travel agent said it is mandatory.
