I hardly see anything on the U.S. site that is as bad. Does anyone have any idea why this is? I much prefer the U.S. site for this reason, and also there is far less profanity etc..

I think the US site can be just as bad. A lot of profanity and insulting goes on, just go to the Immigration section.

I'm sure you're (or should that be your or even yor) right. I couldn't say for sure because I'm not anal enough to go around inspecting everyone's spelling and punctuation.

I'm English but I prefer the U.S. site as well, although not for the reasons you state. I prefer it for the rabid psychosis emanating from the obese evangelists in the Religion and Spirituality section or the breathtaking ignorance displayed by your countrymen in questions such as 'What country do Dutch people come from?' or 'Has anyone heard of a country called Wales?' So, yes, I agree. The U.S. site is infinitely superior to the U.K. one.

Don't know if this question is deliberately inflammatory or whether through truly selective thinking, you truly hold those views but people even in glass houses really shouldn't be lobbing rocks around. After all, your fundamental dictator, (whoops, sorry, my functional illiteracy must be showing......I meant of course, your democratically elected President) old Dubya is one of the world's most famous functional illiterates.
