They're human, sins can be forgiven-Oh, please. If an all-knowing, all-powerful God picks people to represent him, those were his only choices? I bet there were plenty of Mother Theresa's to choose from,

they cherry pick the bible all the time -- they tell you the gay scriptures must be followed, and at the same time, ignore the other scriptures that apply to them RIGHT NEXT TO THE GAY LAWS, saying a multitude of excuses why THOSE can be ignored.
it's only about hating people for christians. THAT is what's important to them.

For starters, try not judging by modern beliefs and think about the culture and times they lived in. Polygamy seems to be one of the number one "complaint" among the non-Christian. You do realize that thousends of years ago, the life expectancy was lower and men married many women to keep their family lines? Such practices were also common in non-Christian sections of the world (like Japan and China).
Lies? Well, who hasn't lied. The thing is, to ask for forgiveness for lying. I'm sure you'll see that God's prophets have always realized what they did wrong.
Incest? Is that the backhanded comment towards Adam? Well, deary, you do realize that Adam and Eve weren't related, right? And as for their kids, there is a brief mention of other people when Cain left. Try rereading the bible.
As for murder and attempted murder, get off your high horse. Every culture back then was violent. IT was a hard time to live and tribes fought against tribes. Not just in in biblical times, but if you look at history in ALL cultures, you'll see violence. Really, get a clue. You have a problem because we oppose gay marriage? Get a life! We do not have to like everything and say, "Oh, gee golly, go ahead." I don't see you being very tolerant, but you expect me to bend over backwards for you?

Has it ever occurred to non-Christians that they do NOT know what Christians are about?
To be Christian is to be Christ-like; to follow His word and ways; to love the sinner but to hate the sin.
God chooses men. Men choose to apply whatever title they want to their personna, then follow the road of their own choosing. Men who follow God are more aware of sin in their lives are are subjected to this knowledge and therefore are duty-bound to rebuke the sin. Those of the world follow sin with no recognition of it's consequences or of the need to turn away from the sin.
In the Bible, God chose men to lead, and all failed with the exception of His Son Jesus and the prophet Elijah. God knows that men fail; but God extolls the grace of forgiveness for those sins. Men who answer to God recognize the sin and know to turn away from the sin, reconcile unto God, and to "sin no more". And yes, sinning continues because mankind is imperfect. And it will continue over & over, as man's self-will is stronger than his obedience to God.
If you're going to criticize men because they are of God, but they fail, then you will have a wide road by which to travel. No one claims to be perfect, and if they do so claim perfection, they are not Christian and are liars.
God specifically addressed the homosexuality issue in very clear terms. He laid down the rules. You have free choice to do otherwise; but anyway you spell it out, marriage is meant ONLY for One Male for One Female - all others do not apply in God's eyes and never will. Those are His rules. If you don't like it, take it up with Him.

I think you are missing the point. One of God's great traits is that he chooses sinful people to help carry out his message. Abraham didn' believein God would bring him Isaac, so he slept w/ another woman. David cheated on his wife, but Nathan the prophet rebuked David for his sin and he repented. Moses was not allowed in to the promised land because he disobeyed God.
God uses people who sin, but that doesn't mean their sin is right. It is not correct to assume that just because the God's messenger did it, then sin is condoned.

Actually, if you bother to read the Bible you know that God rewards faith, not works. David, for example, was a lustful and murderous at his worst. At his best, David was a just ruler and fervant in his faith. It is often said of David that God loved him so because, despite his weaknesses, he was a man after God's own heart. The point is that even the most pious are sinners. Fortunately for we mere sinners, He is a forgiving God. He forgives homosexuals just as He forgives all other fornicators.

Such things should make them realize that their bible isn't literal, and isn't a history book. Paul said that Abraham and his sons and wives were allegories in galatians 4.21-31.
From Clementine Homilies, which was considered scripture pre-4th century,
The Clementine Homilies we find the following statements by Peter:"Assuredly, with good reason, I neither believe anything against God, nor against the just men recorded in the law, taking for granted that they are impious imaginations.
"For, as I am persuaded, neither was Adam a transgressor, who was fashioned by the hands of God; nor was Noah drunken, who was found righteous above all the world; nor did Abraham live with three wives at once, who, on account of his sobriety, was thought worthy of a numerous posterity; nor did Jacob associate with four-of whom two were sisters-who was the father of the twelve tribes, and who intimated the coining of the presence of our Master; nor was Moses a murderer, nor did he learn to judge from an idolatrous priest-he who set forth the law of God to all the world, and for his right judgment has been testified to as a faithful steward."

Are we sure it's God who is choosing these leaders?
Take the Pope for example. Last I checked, the Pope was chosen by a vote of the cardinals.

Not accepting gay marriage is nonsense. Love is what really matters, not some stupid laws written in a fairytale book. If they love each other, so be it. And the government must provide security for all their citizens. In a marriage, wife and husband have certain rights and certain duties towards them. Why should it be different for gay people?
My best friend is a lesbian, and I see her suffering every f****** day because of the stupid society we live in. She is discriminated in her family, her job, amongst other friends, etc etc., and she is as good or bad as anybody else.

Has it ever occured to you that those people are not always Christians and not always chosen by God? Anyone that would do those things in the "so-called" name of God is not chosen by God.
