He should only get mad if the noise keeps him up during the night. Hopefully he won't tell you the noise kept him awake so you would not do that anymore. He needs a companion so he make his own noise.

If the two of you have an agreement that it's okay to have overnight guests, then him being jealous is his issue. However if the noise from your "activity" wakes him up or keeps him up, he'd have every right to be upset and/or say something about it. Be courteous as you'd want others to be to you.
