I'm 35 weeks now and am all ready! My home is clean normally anyway, but I cleaned out all my closets, sorted my son's toys, washed all the new baby's clothing and cleaned out all our dressers too hehe. I think they call this stage nesting. 2 weeks ago I was WAY to tired to deal with any of this but i seem to have gotten my 2nd wind! good luck!

I had been having what I thought were contractions for 3 days off and on...Got the house all cleaned up ( I was even on my knees scrubbing the kitchen floor) .... But, I ended up coming home to a messy house, I have a small dog, Who's not use to being left at home alone, And when I went into the hospital - He wasn't very happy, And made a disaster of my house. :/

My daughter is now 7 weeks old, And not to mention the fact that I have a 20 month old boy, And an 8 year old boy, The mess has just gotten worse, I'm hoping that sometime before they all hit their teenage years, I'll have a clean house again! Lol! :]

well my husband was deployed a lot during my first pregnancy. so while i was tired while he was gone, and didn't do much, when he was home we just spent time together and a clean house wasn't a priority. until of course, i got home with my daughter and was a little upset with the messiness. but with this second one, he's home for the whole thing, and we are already working on a schedule to keep up with the mess and not let anything get out of hand. its hard but you'll be more tired after the baby arrives, so do as much as you can now.

Just go ahead and start doing it now, what happened with me and my wife is that we had the baby shower at 3 P.M. on september 23rd, I went out to babies r us and purchased all the stuff we needed (crib, mattress, newborn diapers and wet wipes, and i recommend a baby monitor with motion sensors it will detect if the baby stops breathing and an alarm will sound) and at around 11 PM that night she went into labor, the next day she had the baby.

So it can be all done at the last second but I would have much rather taken care of everything before hand, but I did have to wait to see what I got from the baby shower.

Actually I did get everything very organized and cleaned up the week before i went into labor. But like most people...you manage to make a mess. haha. It wasn't so bad. My two sister in laws were kind enough to go over to our apartment and clean everything for us. They washed the floors and vacuumed and did all the works for us. So I didn't have to do any of that the day I came home from the hospital. My one sister in law was even kind enough to go grocery shopping for me the day I came home. I was so pooped from the c-section it was unmanagable to get out of the house.

Not at all. I was on bed rest and having a months worth of pre-mature labour so everytime I got up I was back at the hospital so I did nothing around the house. My Mom came in though the day before we brought home our boy and had every inch scrubbed & cleaned...I am still thanking her for it,

i'm sitting here guffawing approximately all the strain I went with the aid of attempting to maintain it sparkling. We have been in the midst of setting up a sparkling kitchen, shifting my daughter out of the infants room to a sparkling room, and hoping i might have the recent infants room painted. nicely guess what- the toddler is now 2 months previous and nevertheless is waiting to be started. With my first daughter I had the homestead relatively sparkling then the week earlier she replaced into born it went loopy and that i got here homestead to a messy homestead. stable success with this one.

I did some and my husband was real helpful. I was kind of embarrassed though, because my water broke and we had to rush to the hospital and I had sorted all the laundry and it was out in the hallway. My mom ended up doing the laundry for me when she got there, but I don't think she minded. If you are too tired to do it, just ask someone to help you. You don't have to do everything by yourself.

My house doesn't seem to stay clean for longer than 48 hours. I just don't know what it is. And it is never as clean as I would like for it to be.

There is not much to do to get a house ready unless the people are slobs and need to disinfect or something! LOL

People don't need to babyproof for a newborn anyway..that does not need to be done until a few months down the line. As far as the nursery, mine was ready when I was 7 months pregnant.
