If it's such a bad thing, why did he create it as a choice?
(and don't say he didn't create it....you can't have it both ways. either he's the creator of all, and he gave us a choice...which he created, or he didn't).

It is painful and he will turn his face from it but that's about it. To every good there has to be evil to every left a right etc. That's why God created evil, to balance things out. Free will in turn created evil.

God is around sin every day, he created it and it wont hurt him.
he is in and around everything i he is everything, he is the father/mother of all things (including sin).
