Hi :) My neighbor got a male Bengal without papers (I have been raised around this breed all my life and could tell right away he was a pure bred bengal), anyway the question he wanted me to ask is~ this bengal cat got his normal female house cat pregnant and my neighbor is curious if the kittens are going to be worth any money....do any of you know? And dont worry I already gave my neighbor a huge lecture on being a responsible pet owner and the need to get his cats fixed...But he wont stop bugging me to ask this lol!

Their only monetary value is as pets. As cats they should be very interesting and have the potential to make good pets. Your neighbour should get his cat neutered as he will tend to spray urine around the house if left entire( I mean the cat not the neighbour!)

Unless his house cat was an acceptable breed for an out-cross for bengals the kittens would not be worth money even if the male cat did have papers. I think these days the only allowable out-cross is to Egyptian Maus. After F4 they are usually only bengal to bengal breeding.
That doesn't mean that he won't end up with some really beautiful kittens that will be easy to find homes for. Some people may even be willing to pay a small amount if they are extraordinary looking, but I would not encourage your neighbor to perhaps continue breeding his pets.

ok shall we eliminate the CFA stuff this is their rule and thats how its been for years. Tica and U.F.O. the two enable Bengals in for exhibiting. i'm confident there are others international that permit Bengals. I surely have seven bengals no longer all are vocal I surely have 4 that are. They do nice with youngsters as long with the aid of fact the little ones are superb to them. I surely have 3 sibilings one mom daughter pair and 2 non appropriate bengals. Now i did no longer get all of them on a similar time and interior the begining there grew to become into scuffling with even yet it is going away. in case you get 2 kitties on a similar time there shouldn't a difficulty. My best Bengal weighs sixteen pounds. I surely have talked to breeders who've had 28 pound Bengals. IMHO Bengals make great pets they are extremely clever and complete of potential.

I doubt they would be worth much but having said that a neighbour of my sisters managed to sell a normal moggy kitten for £60 because it was pretty so who knows. Bengals are extremely beautiful so some idiot might be prepared to pay for something that looked like one.

Hi Leah...in all honesty, since your neighbour's Bengal hasn't been papered through TICA (The Int'l Cat Assoc) or TIBCS (The Int'l Bengal Cat Society) any offspring will have no monetary value because he is unable to prove his cat's pedigree which is what people look for when buying any purebred cats.

No. Many people do not want ANYTHING to do with Bengals anyway. No papers, no proof he is pure anyway. It is great when people are more concerned about the money they can make and not that they produced yet ANOTHER litter of kittens.

I think that a mix breed would not be worth much money. They might just be considered a 'domestic' cat.
