I'm looking for some healthy food, which is easy to eat on the run, and will keep me full for a while. I had a big apple this morning in the car, and I got hungry about an hour later. Some of the snacks I munch on are fruit, Wheat Thin crackers, fruit yogurt, and 100 calorie pack cookies/crackers. They all work well, but I'm just wondering if you have any other suggestions!

Healthy snack foods that will keep you full. First of all make sure you take a GOOD multiple vitamin. Your body is telling you that it is not satisfied and is asking for help. Drink a lot of water. Eat brain shredded wheat for breakfast. Make sure to drink water it will expand and make you feel full. Make sure that you eat smaller portions and also make sure you have your 3 meals a day. Carrotts are a good snack, raisins, celery and protein. Consult your doctor, he may want you to cut out your red meats and eat chicken, turkey and fish. Make sure you have at least 8 glasses of water a day and yes you can do it.
Do not eat things from a can, you will retain water. Eat fresh vegetables and fruit has sugar so eat it but do not over do. Do not drink soft drink. Eliminate sugar, it is considered a posion to your body.

Your snacks have too high a GI value, or glycemic index. The GI of a food determines how quickly it increases your blood sugar after you eat it. High GI foods spike your blood sugar, triggering the release of insulin, whose job it is to store excess blood sugar as FAT. Then, once your blood sugar is low again, it triggers hunger. Lower GI foods keep your blood sugar steady and keep hunger away longer.
Try trail mix with unsalted nuts & berries, whole grain and/or organic fig bars, and fruits like grapes and bananas with lots of fiber.

when im on the run, i go and buy a cappachino, its probably not the best or healthy but with my 4 kids, its keeps me going for a long time rather then eating once and then eating again and again until i feel full, at least its in the morning and i can use the rest of the day to burn it off.

Protein is more filling than carbs... lowfat string cheese, deli turkey and ham are good choices.
