It's in that big category of "things that are taking your attention away from her".
Mine will stand on the keyboard then look at me calmly as if she doesn't quite get what all the fuss is about. Then when I pick her up to move her, she purrs and cuddles up to me to prove that she's cuter. Heh. Gotta love cats! :)

My cat does the same thing sometimes. She walked across it, sits on it, and always tries to get my attention when I'm on the computer. I'm not sure why; maybe she feels neglected!

She is upset with something she sees as "taking your attention" away from her. Or perhaps there is a whine or noise that's too high-pitched for you to hear that she does. I'd bet it's more the first though - WilyBeth was infamous for plopping on my wife's bill work and bashing the calculator when she was spending too much time working on bills ~lol~

My cat also gets right on my keyboard whenever I sit down at the computer, and if you try to read a newspaper, he will interfere by laying on it or attacking it. Its " attention seeking "

It is funny that you ask that question, b/c my cat does the same thing. Sometimes he will just sit his big ole' belly right on the keyboard and laydown while i am typing. LOL! I have no idea why he does that!

my cat kind of does the same thing. he always tries to get near it. i think he likes the heat it gives off
the bottom of my lap top gets very warm.
