I dont know if this guy in work likes me or just likes me as a work colleague. Ive known him for 18 months when were alone which isnt very often we get on quite well we get the giggles. We talk about our views,thoughts,interests,family stuff and we seem to have a lot in common. We are both shy and when theres a few people in the room we find it hard to talk. I get a awkward vibe off him like he isnt comfortable. I did think he liked me but then these two new girls started and he seems to be more interested in them and when we went on a works do he and the rest of the guys of the office were more interested in talking to the one gal and i just felt we were avoiding one another. The things he was doing i just assumed he liked me but now im not so sure but dont know if ive got guts to ask. How can i tell the difference. I was told to make more convo with him to make him more comfortable but i feel why should i make all the moves yet these gals hog his attention

Sounds like he's not getting any clear signals from you and has decided to move on. It's not so bad to tell someone that you're interested in them. It won't be a big deal if you don't make it out to be a big deal.
In a normal conversational tone, without being too serious, just tell him you feel like you both have a lot in common and get along well. Tell him you were wondering if he's interested in any type of relationship beyond friends.
The more "cool" you are about this, the less awkward it will be for both of you. If he's not interested, a simple "ok, just had to ask" and get back to your normal topics of conversation.

I dont think he likes you in that way. I dont mean to be horrible or anything I just think that he likes you as a friend. If hes not willing to make a move and your not willing to do the chasing then its time to move on Both of you!

Maybe he feels that since you are shy you may not like him or seem interested in him. Are these girls more outspoken and outgoing?? He may think that they are showing more interest. Guys are really afraid of being rejected, especially shy guys.
Flirt with him more, talk to him more. What have you got to lose??
I used to be really shy like you, and it got me no where with guys.
Now I am more outspoken and outgoing, still a bit shy though, but I have broken out of my shell a bit, and it feels SO good just to be yourself!!

hes just really shy and it seem tht u r 2 hes probally shy around a pretty woman like u and he likes u just shy to make the move just give him sometime its ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he loves u and want u girl ure just the rite woman 4 him

i think he likes you...but is scared to try anything bc your at work and i thought office romance are a no-no...you never date anyone at work...i think he wants to say something to you about it but doesnt know how to start it....so go up to him and start it off
