how do i make my neck look longer in photographs without looking to strained?

like i'm doing yoga

and i'm trying to be more flexible

and improving my posture too

but somehow my neck isn't photogenic

it's like i don't have one cause i do, it's just that it doesn't come out as strong as i would like it to

I don't know if you've seen this on America's next Top Model. I don't watch the show that often. I would stand on a prop (the shortest one of the two partners is on the prop) that looks natural or best blends in with the theme your trying to present. Then I would lean my head on their shoulder or somewhere near their collarbone and tilt it slightly at an angle for that more photographic illusion. I wouldn't suggest wearing a turtle neck or anything that covers your neck because that would defeat the purpose of the whole photo. Not only that but turtle necks or anything that covers your neck is unattractive.

Never look straight at the photographer. Have your face at an angle and smile a little, even if your body is facing him. This always gives an elongated illusion!

You could also wear V-necks and clothes that have lower, much relaxed necklines. Avoid necklines that are too broad.

Wear an updo or push your hair away from your neck, turn to the side(in the photo) and place your hand on your upper colar bone while your fingers rest on your neck midways.
