When a child reached for a HOT stove burner and he/she refuses to listen to the parent what do most caring parents do? I believe that use some type of reinforcement. Whether they get louder or swat the child on the hand as a reminder how they are supposed to listen to their parents. SoMe would suggest that this is NoT rIgHt... I say that it is right if it is for their benefit or learning. A parent is supposed to teach thier child right and wrong. This can NOT be done without some form of reinforcement at an early age. GOD is an important part of some families lives. It should be a decision that the parent makes until the child is at an age that they are able to decide. I realize that some of you do not have a parent at home or were raised by the town merchants because your parents didn't want children but that is NOT the case in our home. Have a great week!

A child has to be forced to learn the things they need to learn, otherwise they will be politicians.
A child is not born with the knowledge to know right from wrong, or how to interpret it. They don't even BEGIN developing that ability until puberty.
As for how children are treated, shows two misconception about children. They are not little adults. Not even teenagers are young adults. They are children, and will mostly remain so until age 24 for female and 30 for males.
A child learns through repetition and proper sleep. it takes six times of repeating the "exact" same action for it to become a temporary memory. It doesn't get moved into permanent memory storage until the sleep at night, for 10 hours. The same applies to adults, though they only have to sleep for 7 hours.
I child will remember things through the use of repetition. Numerous studies have shown this, but the best I've seen was done by the U of Michigan and featured in the Discovery Channel program, "The Amazing Life of the Human Brain."
Every week I talk to young adults about their young children and the best ways to teach them. When a child turns two it is not a terrible time, but a wonderful time, as it is the time when the human brain develops beyond the level of lower form animals.

The child should not be yelled at but should be calmly explained to the reasoning for the blessing over and over until he/she understands or accepts. And should the religion be taught to the child? Yes. The bible says that the child should be taught up in the way to go. Just like you teach your child that college is best for good jobs, at least finish high school before persuing a entreprenuership, and that hard work and dedication will take you far.

A poor mother and child, indeed. That mother must have her mother as her best teacher. And that poor child is going to pass it down the line into his offspring.
Yes, yoiu are right. My success as a teacher is because I make my study hour as playing a game. My students enjoyed it and got the greatest benefit from it.
Tell the student to study for an hour and they will do it only for twenty minutes with curses at you under his breath, and after that he was only killing the time and a little bit of himself until the hour is up.
Give him a chance to play an enjoyable game, and you will have a hard time stopping him after two hours.
Bitchy, cantankerous and nagging mothers is the sole cause of frustrated children who take refuge in violent TV programs or computer games, which often end in either suicide, or homicide, because he thinks that everyone in the world including the closest persons in his life are his enemies who try their best to make his life miserable.
Yes, definitely, a child should learn by will. Parents and teachers should learn how to compete with TV programs and all the other amusement machines or we will end up with a generation of violent murderers who will destroy this world with the worst weapon of mass destructions "HATE"!

By allowing little "Johnny & suzy" to do anything he wants to do with out any discipline or correction is why we have so many teen pregnancies, columbine high school copy cats, and drug abuse running rampid in schools today.
Teachers and parents hands are tide because of liberal law makers say don't dicipline your kids tell them they can do anything they want to. Well i think they have look at the country today.
So i think telling little "Johnny & suzy" to show some respect at the dinner table and through life is good.
Why is it we need a license and counciling before we can get everthing else : to drive, to carry a hand gun, to get married,to practice medicine etc.... but we allow anybody with the right body parts to have kids and no clue on how to raise them?
GO FIGURE!

I agree with the fact that it is wrong to force someone into a belief system. If that had happened to me, I would probably still be a Catholic, but because I was raised free to choose, I now follow Buddhism.

The only way to teach a child is to beat it with the Bible while screaming "Can't you understand that this is for your own good?!"
This will either make the child a loving and gentle adult, or a homicidal maniac.
But either way, it's not your fault. It's god swill.

I have seen children forced to take a prescribed medication or forced to even attend school. Is that something being pushed onto the children, beyond their will...or...?

You can't force them to be Christian, you should be having a family dinner to start and the Adult male should be praying not the little kid unless the little kid wants to. Poor children. Remember you can't force, but you can teach.
