I know puppies have easily discomforted stomaches but of course I'm a worried owner.
I left to take my fiance to his plane and when I got back my 2 month old pug puppy had pooed on the door of his kennel.
When I took him to go out, he not only pretty much sprayed his "number 2" out but also vomitted in the process of trying to poo more.
He's had another stool and its almost completely solid but I'm still on edge about this.
I don't know if maybe he was just nervous that we left him alone (he hasn't been left alone since we got him) and got an upset belly or if I should take him into the vet.
What do you think?
(I emptied out his water dish and food dish, cleaned them, and restocked them with fresh stuff)

You should first call the vet and talk to this about this. (I know when I call my vet if I request to speak to a vet about something I'm worried about they will transfer me straight to whichever one is available @ that time). The vet will tell you when talking to them what you should to in terms if you should bring him in ASAP, or other possible solutions to the situation.

If you don't want to call about talk to a vet and instead want to rush him in, then you should call your vet and let them know to expect you and the severity of the situation. So when you bring him in they know what to expect.

I know when my boyfriend and I came home his dog could not use his hind legs @ all. He couldn't walk and kept falling over. So first thing we did was contact the vet and talk to him, and they said bring him in and we rushed in ASAP over. The whole process took about 20 minutes (including the call & drive to the vet).

Good Luck.

I would call the vet right now and get his/her opinion. Hopefully they have seen the dog before and should be able to make the right choice. There is a chance the dog was nervous about being alone, but it sounds like it could be something more serious if he was vomitting. Call the doctor now, he may tell you to wait a little while and observe your puppy. Your vet and you are the only ones who can make the call since you saw him, and you know how he normally acts. Make sure you describe everything to your vet, or the vet ast. The more detail the better. Sorry that I couldn't help more, but really without knowing the dog himself, or the situation he was in (Fear or illness) I don't want to lead you astray. But overall it won't hurt to bring him to a vet, but calling first is probably a good idea,

I would just keep an eye on him, it could have been stress or something he eat, if it happens again then call, I am sure that soon the pup will need a shot or an update check up talk to the vet and tell him what happened

If his stool is okay now, then I'd just keep an eye on him. If he shows any other signs of illness then see the vet. It's probably just the stress from being left. He needs to learn to be alone.

New puppy? Have you changed his food that will cause the problem. If the stool is back to normal odds are he's over it. But if there is a reoccurrence and nothing has changed in his environment, see a vet.

No only if his stool is lose again just keep an eye on him. My Yorkie is so used to being with me that when i had to leave her alone for the first time she got very upset and was sick to her stomach it's normal. Like I said just keep an eye on him if all is normal then he was just upset.

he could have gotten some foreign substance off the floor by accident. Puppies love to chew so he could have ingested something that upset his tummy. However I would have him checked to make sure he is not developing something else. Heck I take my puppy to the vet if she even sneezes twice. To sneeze one if normal. RIGHT!!!!!!

it is a very good idea to take your puppy to the vet and also have the vet check his still for parrasites they may be the cause of this problem

you can call your vet but l just think he was really upset and that will cause his system to act that way. as he grows older he will not get his system like that. l know there are people out there that throws up and have loose bowels when they get really upset
