What do i put in which tea??

I know that people put honey, lemon, cream and sugar in tea- but which "condiment" is best with which kind of tea? Does it enhance the taste of the tea leaves?

Sweeteners are normally used for black tea to get some of the bitterness out, flavor enhancers are usually used for green and Oolong (white) tea. The things like honey, lemon grass, etc. are more of just added flavors and not really anything to draw out a stronger flavor from the tea leaves. Only way I've found to do that is extra steeping.

Its not so much "this condiment in this tea." It is more of taste. Put what you think it needs. I'll put honey and or sugar in camomile, lemon and sugar in iced tea. I think some people will put cream into earle grey but others will put lemon or honey. It is all personal taste.

I tend to drink all teas without milk or sugar. If making a traditional cup of tea, use loose leaf tea of the best quality you can find(price is a good guide). Tea bags do not make a very good cuppa. After you have made a pot of tea, drink it straight away otherwise it continues to infuse and will have a stewed taste which can be quite bitter. The way that most tea is made makes it essential to use milk and sugar because it is undrinkable without them i.e. far too strong. Also using milk and sugar masks the subtle taste of tea blends.

Experiment with it. Everybody has different tastes. With a general tea bag, I sometimes add Cinnamon, sugar and milk or cream for a different flavor. Have fun with your tea drinking!

i always put some sugar and lemon in all teas. i only use honey when im sick because it soothes the throat.
