Maybe a silly question but Im not sure if Id actually end up killing myself? I fantasize about it often and am very depressed. Im not who I used to be. I think I wouldnt because I have two small living kids and Im actualyl afriad of death. Am I still likely to go through with it? Or will I just continue on depressed?

If you go to a doctor or therapist and tell them you're so depressed that you're thinking about suicide a lot, they should help you. They'll probably ask you if you have a plan and the means to carry it out. Be honest, make sure they know about your losing a baby -- it seems to me this could be a type of post-partum depression compounded by the loss of the child.

You may well not attempt suicide, but if you're thinking about killing yourself all the time, you could use some help -- and you deserve to have a professional care for you, not just get free advice on the Internet.

If you had physical pain, you'd seek medical care even if you didn't think the condition was lethal. This is the same. Also your kids are hurt by your depression. Below is an article about how children with depressed mothers are negatively impacted. NOT AS MUCH AS HAVING A MOTHER WHO COMMITS SUICIDE THOUGH. If you can't take care of yourself for your own sake, think of your kids.

Well hon,I wish you would seek help for the kids and your self, because the kids need you.I wouldn't want you to hurt your self or the kids. Now first of all do you have anyone that can help you?Life can be hard sometimes but you have got to get a grip.Jesus loves you and all you can do is believe in his word.Sometimes I get depressed because I lost some one very close but I try hard to keep up hope for my children.Seek help ASAP! Dont start off this New Year like this. .And god has a plan for us and suicide isnt one of them.GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even if you say you might not end up doing it I would suggest you do get help very soon! I don't think it's normal to fantasize about it and since you're depressed getting help would work for both things!

how young are your children? could your depression be of the post-pardum depression kind? well, as someoen else who has been depressed and still kinda is, we've all thought that, but there are better ways than suicide, suicide seems liek a good way out becuse we dont know other ways to cope, but talk it out with some one you love, llife does get better. specially if u fall in love. i wish you luck

if youre talking about it, then its normaly a cry for help and the chances are you wont do it.
you should see somone as soon as possible though, being depressed for what ever reason isnt good.
Talk to somone who you feel comfortable with about how you feel, you should feel better after, but if not, you could go to the docs and ask for anti depressants
good luck, hope it turns out ok

Almost everyone who contemplates suicide, thinks about it before-hand. If you are going into details w/ your thoughts (how you would do it, etc), then you are probably on the verge of doing so. You need to seek help ASAP.
