I watched an absolutely hilarious show on TBN last night--some guy was pretending to use 'science' to prove the young earth creationist theory.
He had a diagram of the earth, which supposedly thousands of years ago had a magnetic field that stopped most ultraviolet radiation--which he claims renders useless carbon 14 dating (the most common scientific method for determining the age of something). He went on to explain how humans have always been humans, and that what looks like a fossil record of mankind learning how to use tools and stuff is actually just men who isolated themselves (either by choice or through some kind of disaster) and had to learn how to do things all over again.
It was f'ing hilarious - especially the way he would state something that was completely made up. And then use that as proof (along with some choice bible verses) that the earth was not millions of years old as a few stupid scientists (read: the majority of the scientific community) believe.

You are , of course, just kidding about being a kindergartener.
But it makes the point, indirectly, about peer aproval. Mathematicians are not really happy until they meet with and get the approval of those who consider their interests as important.
I am afraid, we Christians are very similar. The Bible says "do not neglect the assembling of yourselves together"
Scientists are looking for proof of God's existence in all the wrong places. God is not a circus act, or a Mathematical formula to be published in the next Scientific America Magazine.
As you know, our proof is a personal visit from the Holy Spirit. It is not a science fair event. Such public proof of God, would intimidate his children and force them to follow God's sales pitch.
God doesn't want to intimidate us, he wants us to freely choose his sales pitch; which is "Harmony instead of Disharmony"

Algebra is a system of numbers used to find the definite or indefinate value to correct an equation...much like evolution
