Yes, I believe in "Armaggedon." Why? Because I saw it. It was kind of overrated, though I like Bruce Willis a lot. It has a lot of action, but little substance. It was weepy and melodramatic and poorly edited. That said, it is a very popular movie, so maybe you'll like it.

Or, if you are referring specifically to armageddon as an actual event, then I still do. It is the one thing that religious fanatics and science fanatics all agree on, though they disagree on what exactly it means. Fact is that someday the sun is going to explode, and armageddon in the sense of the end of civilization will be a reality, regardless of what you believe.

Sure, Armaggedon is a place. Now, people have used the place name to apply to an event and that's a whole different story.

In a Biblical sense, demon with seven heads and seven crown etc etc etc... no, and I'm religious. I think the "end of days" will either be the result of something man-made (ie' nuclear or something) or it will be a natural distaster (astroid or something). Because all things end eventually. Heck, we might just srew up and be out-evolved by dolphins, who knows.
I think the biblical armaggedon was writen so that the common peopel could understand it. How do you explain nuclear winter to people in the year 20? And it's not really scary unless you can picture it.

I believe in the possibility of the human race managing to completely, or very nearly wipe out life on this planet.

As far as some megalomaniacal 'god' sending his son back to rapture up all the 'true believers' then no.

Yes. I think the earth is headed towards this. There are enough weapons to kill everyone, and then some. I think all that needs to happen is a "first strike".

No. Christians have been predicting it every year for 2,000 years. They've been wrong every time.

Not a very good track record, so why worry about it?
