Yes. For me it wasnt after Christmas it was/is with the whole New Year thing. But it is very normal for people to become depressed at this time.
Hang in there and smile lots! It will be ok. Find someone to talk to if you need to!

Absolutely - it's the same every year! There is a mad frenzy build up to christmas and new year, and then ........ nothing!
It is a time for making decisions, getting your goals for the year organised, and generally 'getting your act together' for the coming year. It doesn't help that so much emphasis is put on the start of the year..... 'new year - new you', 'new year - what you going to do?' etc.,
Also the weather is rubbish, it gets dark before it gets properly light (if you know what I mean), and everything is GLOOMY. Try taking each day as it comes, and before you know it Spring will be here, things will be brightening up and you will probably feel better.
You may well have S.A.D. too; try brightening up your home/work environment, plenty of fresh air and open windows/curtains.
Keep your chin up - it will soon be Easter, and then Summer is just round the corner!

I agree. After the holidays I usually feel like I've been completely lazy for the past year. I think more about stuff I haven't done and want to do. I always feel like I've hit a rut. I usually try starting some sort of project. Even a small one will usually make me feel like I've accomplished something and help get me out of the post holiday blahs. This year I moved everything in my bedroom around and already I feel like I have a fresher start.

Too much Christmas food is often my problem! It makes you sluggish! I once heard that turkey has some ingredient in it that makes you tired and sluggish - and all the stress of cooking Christmas dinner probably makes it worse!
