First, only God knows if Ghandi will spend eternity in Heaven or Hell.
BTW, you might be surprised at some things Hindus believe and do. You can download a free copy of ebook "The Genocide of Hindu Women" (in notepad form) from this link:
http://usminc.org/wymyn.html

The book is written by an Indian feminist who blames the death os her sister (as well as millions of other women) on Hinduism. She has some interesting comments on Ghandi too.

As for Hitler being a Christian, he was not. It is true he was baptized as an infant, and was raised in a Roman Catholic home, but he rejected the Christian faith.

True, Hitler did write things like:
"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." (Mein Kampf Pg 33, English Translation)
But these things are what is known as "propaganda". Hitler couldn't tell his real plans or his real beliefs to the German people..

"Hitler’s Views on Christianity: The Facts"

Let's look at a few things before you decide Hitler was a Christian. Here are some quotes which show what Hitler really thought of Christianity from the people that were in his inner circle:

"Christianity is an invention of sick brains...The war will be over one day. I shall then consider that my life's final task will be to solve the religious problem." [Hitler’s Table Talk, p. 142-4]

"Christianity is the biggest lie the Jews ever told humanity"

-- comment by Adolf Hitler, recorded 13 December 1941.

"So it's not opportune to hurl ourselves now into a struggle with the Churches. The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death," -- Adolf Hitler, 14 October 1941.

"When National Socialism has ruled long enough, it will no longer be possible to conceive of a form of life different from ours. In the long run, National Socialism and religion will no longer be able to exist together…The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity." [Hitler's Table Talk, p. 6-7]

"Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure." [same source p. 51]

"Christianity, of course, has reached the peak of absurdity in this respect. And that's why one day its structure will collapse. Science has already impregnated humanity. Consequently, the more Christianity clings to its dogmas, the quicker it will decline."[Hitler's Table Talk, pp 58-62]

"Hitler usually concluded this historical speculation by remarking 'You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?'" [Speer, Albert, Inside the Third Reich, Bonanza Books, New York, p. 96]

"The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity." [Table Talk, p. 75]

"The Jew who fraudulently introduced Christianity into the ancient world----in order to ruin it----re-opened the same breach in modern times, taking as his pretext the social question. Just as Saul became St. Paul, Mardochai has become Karl Marx." [p. 314]

People who want to paint Hitler as a Christian (including some Neo-Nazis) state the above claims come mainly from the" recollections" of his followers and therefore may not be true, and then brainlessly fall back on quotes from Mien Kampf to paint Hitler as a Christian. This may come as a shock for the more naive readers, but Adolph Hitler was not well known for his truth telling abilities! Mein Kampf is a book of lies. Are we also to believe the other things written in Mein Kampf, including German racial superiority, and an international conspiracy of Jews taking over the world? Hitler, like any dictator, lied to suit the situation as he saw fit.

"There are too many of these "recollections"(and from people who were closest to him no less) for it to not accurately reflect what Hitler thought about the Christians. Who would better know what Hitler really thought than the people closest around him? "

And as for a "deathbed conversion" on Hitler's part, I would find such an event unlikely, and none of the people who were in the bunker recorded such an event. It's obvious from his will, in which he encouraged the governments of the world to fight the Jews that he was an unrepentant sinner to the end.

And let's even if he had tried to ask Jesus to forgive him at the last second and let's say he didn't commit suicide but was murdered by his valet as some have speculated, Jesus said " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21). I think any Christian would agree wiping out millions of people and then trying to ask forgiveness (which Hitler didn't do anyway) would not be enough for salvation! The Bible teaches there is an Unpardonable Sin, and Hitler certainly committed it many times over by trying to irradicate Christianity and the Jewish people.

My guess is you weren't really interested in an answer to your question, but rather wanted to bait the evil "xtians". Sorry if we don't all fit your stereotype of ignorant rednecks. Perhaps you should try reading the non-fiction works of C.S. Lewis and then you can overcome your hatred for Christians once you see what our religion is really about.

A. just because you're born and raised in a religion, doesn't make you that religion. Look at the athiests here. I bet most of them were once "Chrisitan"

B. Hilter wasn't repentant for his crimes, so no, there is no way he'd ever be in Heaven, Christian or not.

C. Ghandi would make it to heaven before Hitler. He is one of the very few people I think had a straight ticket to heaven.

There is no way of knoing if hitler will be in Heaven. I could confess I was a JW and that would not automatically usher me into heaven's gates. You have to have a pure and forgiven heart to get to heaven and no one but God knows if Hitler truly repented for what he had done so only God knows where he will rest. Ghandi may not have believed in Jesus as the savior but he was a good man with a wonderful spirit. Who is to say he did not meet God's criteria in the end before he drew his fina breath. It is not for any of us to judge a persons destination as we cannot ascertain what their true nature is.

Jesus said that a tree is known by its fruit. Look at the fruit of Hitler. Does his life exhibit that of someone who follows Jesus Christ? Assuming you're a rational person, I'm sure your response would be in the negative.

A person can claim to be something...but, talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words. If a person is devoted to Christ, their life will testify to that fact. They will love their enemies. They most certainly will not order the extermination of six million Jews.

Plus, one goes to Heaven based on their faith in Jesus Christ. Since the fruits of Hitler are rotten to the core, I'd safely say that he didn't have faith in Christ. And, as far as I know, neither did Ghandi.

However, you shouldn't be concerned about their eternal state. They're gone. You, however, aren't gone yet. You should stop and think about your eternal destiny. Cause you're not promised tomorrow. You could die today.

First, I don't believe in cheap grace and I don't believe anyone should count on having a "ticket to heaven". But, according to Christian dogma, all sins can be forgiven. Which, I suppose, means that even Hitler could qualify for heaven? As for Gandhi, I don't know. The way to salvation for Christians is through faith in Jesus. But, believing, as I do, that there is only one God, creator of the universe, I just doesn't make sense to me that Jesus is the only way to salvation.

Although Adolph Hitler was raised in a Catholic family, he left the church early in life.

Automatic excommunication happens when Catholics commit certain offensives. This happens as soon as the offense is committed.

Adolf Hitler committed the following offenses resulting in automatic excommunication:
- Apostasy - the formal renunciation of one's religion. Hitler specifically rejected the Catholic Church, as well as Christianity in general. He described himself as "a complete pagan.”
- Heresy - a doctrine in theology, religion, philosophy, or politics at variance with those of the Catholic Church. Nazism is definitely heretical to Christianity.

No matter what anybody says about who should go to heaven and hell, ultimately the judgment is made by God.

With love in Christ.

Hitler was a baptized Roman Catholic Christian, as was all his inner circle officers. None were ever removed from the Catholic roles. So, your guess is as good as mine. As for Hitler, he was clearly insane, so can he be held accountable for his actions? He was a product of his times and came to power as a result of the actions of the allies after WWI. The people of Germany brought about the end of WWI and for their efforts, we tried to starve them out by blocking all their ports.
