I have just recently started to drink water with sliced lemon in it. I love to take bottled water and put slices of lemon in and freeze the bottle. I take them with me to work out. The taste is great! I was wondering though, what are some benefits of doing this?

The lemon tases a bit better and it also carries enzymes to help your body absorb more of the H2O going into your system

The only one I can think of is the vitamin C you get from the lemon. That, and the fact that the taste makes you drink more water.

In restaurants it helps the waitstaff to see what level your water is at and if you are ready for a refill.

Lemon water....a hint of citrus taste and a bit of vitamin C. good stuff.

the main benefit is that the water has more taste, it is also more beneficial to do it your way than to buy the flavoured lemon bottled water as they add tons of sugar to that when it is produced, your way is more healthy and it may freshen your breath too, not that you need it probably, but it can't hurt... xx

It's low calorie for one thing! Other than that I believe that lemon is an anti-oxidant. Of course you know that staying hydrated has a ton of benefits like increasing your metabolism, cleansing your bodily system, and even making your complexion better!

Well I know that they are good for reasons listed already, but one I haven't seen it that lemon also help break down fat. I am not 100% sure if it does, but I have heard it does.

You get the nutrients from the lemon, I do it for taste though.♥
