i really want to sweat and lose a lot of pounds when i go jogging so i was wondering if it's safe and healthy to wear multiple layers of clothing while jogging. like, 2 t-shirts, a long sleeve, and a sweater.
and i also heard that peole put plastic blags on their body to sweat more. does that help to lose weight?

My personal trainer told me that it was just a myth and that sweating doesn't help you to lose weight.

He says I should sweat when I jog but that's just to make sure I'm going fast enough, not because it makes you lose weight by itself

Yeah its ok, it is just water weight though. You can do that in a sauna too and it doesnt take as long. You can just sit there and dont have to jog. Or you can pull an excercise bike into sauna and you dont have to wear as many layers of clothes. Expect a headache bc you feel all dehydrated - not something that you want to do all the time!

its ok to wear that much clothing. u will just get hotter faster and sweat more. as for sweating more = losing more weight. well the weight u will be losing will be water weight and that is the easiest and fastest to gain back. just try being consistent with ur weight lose, like 2-4 lbs a week is healthy and easier to keep off bc u wont yo-yo back and forth with water weight

no it does not help to lose weight it just helps to lose water once you replenish yourself it will be back on a lot of people do this in the summer find themselves in the emergency room from heat exhaustion be careful and when sweating a lot please eat banana it has potassium which we sweat out and gives us that extra energy without all the guilt, in this since I'm no doc I would say too much sweating in not good for but ask a doc for a profession opinion,good luck

Yea wrestlers do it all the time to lose weight fast...but that alone isnt going to help you lose weight, you just lose water weight, you have to eat right as well to keep it off I dont know if the plastic bag is safe however

You will lose water weight if you sweat a lot and you stand the chance of becoming dehydrated.

i don't know if layers will help i mean sweting is just so your body doesn't over heat. you whould just need to drink back all the water. so no
