I've been watching these Christian Just-War folks and the Muslim Jihadists for a while now and starting thinking about something. If these two factions finally get going at each other, will the Pagans and Athiests inherit the earth? Think about it a little... If the fanatical Christian groups and the nutty Jihadist do each other in. Who is going to be left to run the world? I'm thinking of pulling me out a good chair and just watching the two go at it. I'm also considering starting a pool with some Pagan friends and taking bets on the two sides. Maybe the Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, and Athiests should start planning on what we're all going to do when the Just-War people the Jihadist wipe each other off the earth. What do you think?

I agree with you. The Abrahamic god will eventually stop being worshipped. Either because people are wising up, or because the religions destroy each other.

Well, it would make sense that those of us who actually value the earth will eventually "inherit" Her. Though I don't think it will be so much as inheriting our Mother as finally being able to watch over and protect Her as we should be doing, without all the interference of the unbalanced (literally and figuratively) "single parent" religions causing so much strife. Aren't there studies out there that talk about the damage single parent households do to children, and how important it is to have both parents take an active part in raising children, even if the parents don't live in the same home? I can't figure out why religions (like Christianity) that are so pro-family and anti-divorce think a religion that only has a heavenly FATHER is such a great way to go, or why they can't equate their lopsided, hateful views with the absence of a divine MOTHER in their lives.
And honestly, if we Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans and Athiests are the only ones left, I don't think it will be so bad.

I think most Christians and Moslems are a lot saner than you give them credit for. The people you're trying to stereotype all Christians and mMoslems as are the loud extremists, not the majority. You may as well say that all pagans are flaky, anti-Christian teenage rebels who never grew up and think that Kali is a sweet, loving gal who makes Aphrodite look mean--sure you have the fluffbunnies who are loud as can be, but they're not the majority of pagans, are they? Neither are the Christian fundies and Moslem extremists.

LOL, well, I don't know if us Pagans stand a chance the way the X-tians and others are going at it! I just hope that my soul is able to be reincarnated as some form of inteligent life somewhere in the universe after they are done nuking us all.
Maybe if they'd open up and let the Mother Goddess back in, they'd all be a little happier and stop killing each other in the name of God.

Well, more than likely is that the country you live in will be attacked with a chemical weapon or nuclear bomb, then you'll be dead too. The only people left on the earth are going to be the Norwegians and the Australians. I suggest moving to one of those countries. Or maybe even Antarctica.

That's why I am hoping for the end of the world/rapture to happen while there's still enough time to reverse global warming.
What a wonderful day it will be when those idiots disappear. Imagine a world run by Pagans. Other than every meeting starting half an hour late, it would be paradise. :)

Once those two are gone, the pagans can have all of europe and the western part of asia. The hindu's can have the southern sect of asia and the buddists can have the northern sect as well as Austrailia, and the Atheists can have North america. Everyone else can have south america and antartica.
Sounds fair, don't you think?

Seriously, I wouldn't mind a scenario in which the peaceful religions and the atheists all lived together. We'd at least understand evolution and the preservation of the planet.. just think of what we could accomplish!

That sounds so wonderful, but i know that the way I eat and dont exercize i wont be here much longer, I hope this planet does better in the future, but if christians and muslims do any more damage to it it might not have much of a chance.
