Many people believe in God and live happy moral and loving lives that they never regret. It is unfortunate when people loss sight of the message and become depressed. Don't you think it would be better to understand them and discuss religion rather than attempt to force disbelief on them? Atheism is philosophically impossible to defend. And from a morality standpoint a recognition that God exists is very valuable as well. Do you even care?

Not an atheist just thought id answer this: When and if people are ready to come out of the closet and admit to being atheists they will do so, but its up to them to make that decision. As for myself Im not miserable where I am at spiritually, HOWEVER I am miserable where i live, a Pagan at the heart of the bible belt is not a reason to celebrate (unless you count that the IQ went up ten points just for me and my husband being here)
