I have always thought logically, but I recently started to become a devout Christian. Although, as I just stated, I am a Christian, I do have to agree with some non-Christians on some of the things that they are saying. People do not like having beliefs crammed down their throats, and even though I do believe preaching the gospel is every Christian's niche, it hasn't been done so in the correct fashion. Instead of repeatitively shoving verses down people's throats, we should be showing love and respect to everyone, no matter what they say or do.
As humans we are imperfect, and everyone, Christian or not, should understand that we all have our faults and that all of this arguing and slander isn't the answer.
I will be praying for each of you tonight, because we all need some help at one point or another.

First of all I wonder why you believe that, "Most of Yahoo Questions are against Christianity". I, like many of those who have posted comments on here, have noticed that many times those "Christians" that give answers that include quotes from the Bible have hateful attitudes against anyone who believes differently than they do. It does not matter if they are Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, or what have you.
Second, I am not against Jesus. I am not against anyone. I just wish that people online and around the world would have a bit more tolerance for one another's beliefs instead of trying to force a belief on someone. Religion is the cause of most of the world's wars.
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."

awww how cute. yet another biased Christian question designed to solicit commiseration and kudos from Christian peers.
forums like these are good for you Christians. they help to clarify a little window in the opaque bubble you all live in, helps you see how those not sharing your bubble view your religion driven bigotry. read and learn and maybe you can adjust your behaviors so you'll be more accepted and less reviled by those who aren't like you.
but that's not what you want so i fail to understand why you Christians whine about being teased on these forums when being "persecuted" is your goal. tho Internet martyrdom probably isn't what Jesus had in mind when he said Christians would be persecuted as he was but i guess it's the best American Christians can come up with since they're the majority religion and couldn't be more comfortable..

I don't really believe that very many are against Jesus. Christians certainly are not against him. To Muslims, Jesus was one of the greatest profits, next to Mohammad.
Jews do not consider him to be anyone special, but I doubt very many would say that they're against him.
Atheists believe that Jesus was just someone who lived back in the time of Tiberious.
You probably mean that some people are against the belief that Jesus was a God. I for one am not against anyone's believing that Jesus was a God. Believe anything you care to, it's none of my business. I just don't believe it myself.
What I, or anyone else believes or doesn't believe shouldn't bother you. You believe that Jesus forgives world sins. You're trying to convince everybody of your belief. Leave the preaching to the preachers.

The life of Jesus is a wonderful model for life for anyone, be they choose Christianity or not. I believe Jesus is very real and he is a divine individual. That's as much as Christians and I have in common though. I certainly don't go out against Christians though. Some people don't know how to disagree tactfully or pose a loaded query without sounding beligerent. That's half of what's wrong with this world.

I like the moral teachings of Christ, I tolerate belief in a creator, I hate misguided theological dogma. The world will be a better place when religion is gone-I firmly believe that so I don't have a problem with anyone attacking organised religion.

Because of people, like your post here, who come in and proselytize as if you have the market cornered on some version of truth you deludedly think exists. You also have the delusion of thinking that everybody is going to subscribe to your version of truth, thereby propping up your own ego via the old slap on the back routine. A WISE mind understands and ACCEPTS that not everybody thinks as you do, since no one mind exists the same way yours does, and therefore they're not going to agree.
The only miracle is when people start realizing that PEOPLE, all the way down to the "self", create problems and PEOPLE CAN fix them instead of looking for "miracles" to do it for them. There's not a problem on this earth, REALISTICALLY defined as a "problem", that cannot be solved by a little bit of "elbow grease", except for the fact that most thinkers like your thinking don't want to accept reality... that some things which you don't like are just cold hard reality, like my post here, or like the concept of death and illnesses. THAT is what's is "positive"... a realistic approach to the universe AS IT IS. It might seem all doomy gloomy but it really isn't. Looking at reality is freedom.

I'm not against Jesus, just Christians, i believe Jesus was a wise man, who's story has been greatly exaggerated to fill the needs of others. I believe the bible is fiction, and that science has more reasonable answers.
I love all people, and even though I say mean things to Christians, it's mostly because I'm frustrated at their ignorance.
My main beef with Christianity is that God gave us free will, but the only way to heaven is through Jesus. Now that's not free will, i choose to go to heaven, but I don't get to make that choice, Jesus does. That's not free will, I can't choose to not accept Jesus AND go to heaven, what kind of cruel religion is this?

we have reason. And y think positive if the world isn't positive. If we were all positive and optimistic we would be stupid and die. And we give bad comments not to jesus (who was a regular jew who died on the cross like hundreds of others, the Romans sent him to die because he was stirring up trouble- that's right, jesus was a trouble maker) but how christians worship jesus and think he did all this crap for us and that he is the one who suffers the most pain and is the best person to ever live. That is BS to us and it annoys us that u blind yourselves in that light. And you think u r superior to us and u will have a better afterlife. Admit it, we know. Well it Pisses us off.

Most questions are from atheists, yes, but have you noticed the answerers are Christians?
Have any of us said we are against Jesus? No. Undoubtedly, he was a good man who genuinely wanted to help all humanity. We just disagree with the existance of God.
