If this pain is occuring without any apparent overuse, you need to see your doctor to determine the cause. Sore arms can come from overuse, new exercise programs, arthritis and damage from compressed nerves from bulging discs in the cervical region(neck)of your spine. Happy New Year!

If it's the muscles that are sore, drinking water will help a little. Some gentle stretching to warm the muscles back up will help get some of the stiffness out. OTC pain relievers like Aleve or the generic equivalent (Naproxen Sodium) are good for muscle aches/cramps.
Also, try to give your arms a bit of a break. Muscles need a day to heal after being worn out. After a day or two of resting those muscles, more exercise will work the stiffness out. Stretch well first, and don't push yourself farther than your body says you can go.

That would depend on why they are sore. If you overworked the muscles, then rest and ice will indeed help.
If you have some sort of inflammatory process going on, like arthritis or such, ice probably won't help.
and if one are hurts more than the other, suggest you see a doctor, especially if there is no apparent reason for the soreness.

R they sore from exercises? I usually take a hot shower and let the water run over them while doing shoulder rolls. If that doesn't work.......heating pad usually does the trick.

rest, eat bananas they are high in potassium which helps heal the soreness in your arms, I take that you are working out?, take showers with hot water, not boiling you dont want to get burn, this helps in relaxing the muscle and increases blood flow to your arms.
