Yup... bad idea. It might work in two percent of the situations, but in the vast majority, it's a big mistake. First of all, you'll get tired of seeing them at work AND after work. Second, they will know everything you do, since they'll be seeing you in both places, and that's kinda irritating. And finally, if and when you break up, you'll still have to see them every day. And if you broke up badly, there's that tension each time they walk past your desk to go to the bathroom or the lunchroom. And on top of that, the whole office will know, no matter how much you think you're keeping it a secret. do you want that many people knowing your business? They'l know when you hook up and when you break up. And if it's just a one night stand after the office party, it'll be all over the office. And finally, there's the issue of office rules. Some places of business ban office "interpersonal relationships" because they know the trouble it could lead to.
It's best to find romance elsewhere, but if you think this is THE ONE, go for it. Just be prepared for the consequenes. One of you might have to find a new job.

Yes, but it was more than 15 years ago. I was a junior in High School and was working in a grocery store, she was 24 years old at the time. It turned out to be one of the best relationships I have ever had even though we did part ways after two and half years. I often think of her and where she is and how she is doing. It does not matter where you meet the person but how you handle yourselves in that relationship. Never let it affect your job.

Yeah many years ago after way to much to drink ended up hooking up with a co-worker. This proved to be a BIG mistake and would not suggest that people do this. Leave your work and private live separate as mingling the two together can lead to many uncomfortable events.

I did attached with this warm coworker and because it replaced into in undemanding terms a one night element it wasn't as undesirable as i presumed...we nevertheless friends :) It only gets stressful while your boss or your different coworkers start to suspect some thing and initiate off asking you questions...i think of my in undemanding terms advice could be shop it secret...in any different case that is going to suck! that's a stable theory i think of...I recommend you will possibly desire to look for extra ideas to fulfill human beings from...what in the experience that your coworker is the only!

Yeah. A few of them actually. Never works out. The worst was when I hooked up and actually dated my manager for a few months. When that end (bc he cheated) it was the most uncomfortable working environment. I say avoid the co-workers at all costs, esp if there is a chance its just gonna be a fling....

Yes, but it is not worth the stress. She was against birth control and so I got out of that relationship. She ended up pregnant and unmarried less than a year later.
That could have neded in a big mess at work.

YEs I have and it went well. Even when she left, we hook up everytime she comes back to town. We just agreed on what happens out of work stays there but at work we were just co-workers. But as long as it's agreed that what happens out of work stays there it's all good.

Yes, I've been with her for 30 years, married 27 of them.
All in all, it's something I would avoid, though. If things go bad, then it's a VERY uncomfortable situation.

I dated someone that i worked with for like 2 years. it was okay except for it made it kinda hard to flirt with the other guys at the office! I still pulled it of tho...lol. Thankfully he quit and then we broke up shortly after. It would have sucked to break up and then still have to work together...
