There's nothing wrong with you. But the real question is, what aspects of this character do you relate to. And which Satan? Is it God's sidekick and straight-man (in Job), or the manipulative tempter of Jesus (in the 3 synoptic gospels)? There is not just one Satan in the Bible; the different books of the Bible construct this character very differently.

Is it possible that you are really having this identification with Satan not affirmatively, but as a negation or expression of your non-identification with other elements of Christian belief and mythology? I ask this because maybe Christianity is not the best spiritual path for you. The world is full of many spiritual paths, and they are all true and all lead to the Divine, if one walks any of them with integrity. Find the path that is right for you, the myths with which you can identify, the spiritual practices and beliefs that call you to be the person you wish to become. Good luck.

Well, he IS the most interesting character in Milton's Paradise Lost.

Satan fascination is a stage some young people pass through when they're fed up with Christianity. There are good reasons to be fed up with Christianity, but this is not a healthy response. Eventually you may get over it, since Christianity IS false, and there's no Satan anyway.

Actually, a lot of people in the Bible were imperfect. They would let Satan influence them, but a lot of times they turned their lives back over to God. You are probably more like others in the Bible than you think.

Nothing wrong with you other than you are confused. You relate to Satan because you sin. The good thing is that Jesus died so that our sins might be forgiven. Satan will always try and impress upon you that you are more like him. I think most people are more like Satan but it is up to us as individual children of God to make a choice to pray and ask for forgiveness. Pray daily. Ask God for Guidance. You'll never stop sinning but you can decide to try and make your life less sinful.

Hello Kayla S.

Use that experience as a tool for teaching others about Satan and is devastation on there life should they choose to follow his ways. So, don't look at your experience as a bad one, look at it as a way of help others, so learn as much as possible about Satan and his evil so that you can be a mouth piece for Jesus- If you are a believer. Good Luck

I don't think there is anything wrong with you I think you are being honest. I am curious as to why you relate to Satan though?

All of us, have a sin nature and therefore "relate" to Satan. We can however make choices regarding who we are and whether or no we are goint to follow Christ.

What is it about Satan you like so much? Defiance of authority? Doing his own thing no matter what? Hurting others? Maybe you don't look closely at his living conditions? "They shall be cast into the outer darkness, where there shall be weeping and moaning and gnashing of teeth."

Seriously, ask yourself, when you're on the receiving end, do you like love better, or pain, rejection, grief, despair? Nevermind what you think you deserve. What do you like to experience?

That's normal. Humans are sinful, and that is a main point the Bible is trying to get across. We are sinful, and without the help of God, we will end up with Satan.

If the Good News we preach is veiled from anyone, it is a sign that they are perishing. 4 Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them. They don't understand the message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
