I have had girls chase me and I both loved it and hated it. I have had girls be overly friendly and loved it and hated it. I have had girls leave me alone/ignore me and loved it and hated it. I have had girls call me a lot and loved it and hated it.
The point is: If the guy is really into you, he'll want to be around you all the time. The key to getting a guy to be crazy about you is to be very hot, college educated, high IQ and giving. If you have those 4 things, he'll be hooked.

Overly friendly is always good, sprinkle in flirting.
Ignoring him is too risky really, if he is not already into you than he just won't care and will move on to the next girl who he is into.
Calling too much is also a turn off especially if he is not really that into yet.

Humor. Joke with the guy, casually flirt. When he starts to show interest a little, tease him slightly. Accidentally get to close (face to face) and then back away w/ a slight blush. Hold his gaze for a second longer than a casual glance then look away with a small grin.

There should be a balance, be really nice and approachable but learn to not to over do it because you may seem needy. There is nothing wrong with being nice.
