Everyone has a right for freedom, but what if freedom is misused? Is it okay if family members are stupid to the point that they dont mind posting their stupidity in their blogs while believing they are "cool" in doing so? Its embarassing.

All are entitled to do as they please so trying to change this behaviour is probably a waste of time. I doubt very much that your friends as checking out their blogs so don't worry about it so much and let it be.

The success of blogging as a medium comes from the fact that we all, each one of us wants to be heard, validated and accepted and it seems that is hard to come by. So see what you can do to change that family dynamics that pushing your family members to misuse the blogsphere with their mental trivialities and muck as you puck it.
But beware do not try to hard as we all learn in our sweet time, don’t we, so now that you have broken the family pattern, stay out of it and not indulge in family gossip on the outside world, you know very well from personal experience as to how silly it sounds.
My advice would be laugh it off, and remember few people check out pages that are boring or stupid, but if they are seeking out company online, may they are just trying to find solutions to their aloneness and vacuousness at home, in everyday family life.
That is to be dealt with first if you are looking to find a lasting solution to this problem because other than that you would have eradicated the symptom without healing the problem that is creeping up ever so often.
Why not have family lunches or dinner where everyone gets to share their intimate thoughts, feelings and emotions no matter how inane they might sound to you, are you will to make a change here?
And don’t worry, who doesn’t have weird family members or those who continue to embarrass us no matter how hard you try to convince them otherwise. It is a part of our growth as mature adults to not just endure them but take them with the lightness and love they deserve, after all at our heart we are all like them – a little weird and a little interesting.

It depends on how much control do you have on the family. If I find my family posting stupid comments on the worldwide web I would have a very serious talk about it and I will hold my family for revealing the family secrets to the world. Luckily I have such a reputation that my family takes me seriously when I'm serious.

I don't think you can prevent it but I know what you mean. These members have a lack of intelligence and lack the ability to think of worthwhile things to post.Their immaturity may never mature. Yes, it is embarrassing, report them if you can and after enough reports they may be censored or gone. It is not always cool to be cool. Bless you for not being like them. Enjoy a good life !!!!

ok , well idk if you can acually stop them but if they are writing things about YOUR family or YOU then well if these are your children it may be time to give them whats coming by giving them an *** whipin or by posting things about them and see how they feel about that and that may help a little if not a lot
