Both - actually all three - Father, Son and Holy Spirit all had a part in the creation. (You mentioned Father and Son, but not Genesis 1:2, where the Spirit of God is mentioned as the One moving on the waters at the time of creation)

In Genesis 1:1, the word "God" in the Hebrew is "Elohim", which is actually the plural form of god (gods). But the verb "created" is singular. You will find this many times in the Old Testament. The three "persons" of God working as one - so a plural noun with a singular verb.

Philippians 2:5-11 explains a lot of it. It says that Jesus was equal with God, but gave up that equality to become a servant. After that, he became a man. When God began his creation, he created multiple "realms". A spirit realm in which he lives (the heavens) and the physical realm in which man lives (the earth). He also manifest himself into both those realms. In the heavenly he is referred to as "the Father" and the physical he is referrred to as "the Son".

When God made man "in his image", he also gave man both a physical part (made from the dust of the earth) and a spiritual part (beathed from his own breath). The union of the two produced the three part, a living soul. (See Genesis 2:7) Your body is just as much "you" as your mind.

God also has a spiritual part in the Father, a physical part in the Son, and a "heart/soul" part the results from their union called the Holy Spirit than resides in the hearts of men. Each is just as much "God" as either of the other two.

Isn't it something that people have no issue with God being and heaven and also being in the hearts of people at the same time. But add a physical body, and suddenly they want to restrict God to all the laws of physics. Somehow he can be in you or me and still in heaven, but not be in Jesus and still in heaven...weird!

So the answer is that God, in His forms of Father, Son and Holy Spirit, created the universe.

It was both. Jesus is God and according to John 1, Jesus (God the Son) created the heavens and the earth. Remember too that the Jehovah of the Old Testament is the Jesus of the New, it clears up a lot.

It was God, God is the Father... and Jesus is God’s son that we talk threw to get to God... The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit all of those are considered one being, it's called the Trinity... and it made the earth.

My opinion on the purpose of the earth is to make a place for humans to worship God, while giving them the choice to do so are not. And recruiting enough Christians to stand by God when the world is over. And to fight as angels in Armageddon whenever the world ends. Armageddon is in revelation; it’s the war between God and his angels and Satan and his minions. The Bible said God already won the battle it just has to come to past.

The purpose of the earth was to be filled by human kind and to finish making it all a paradise.. and live forever praising Jehovah

I've read the Bible (it's actually quite nicely written, even for me, an atheist) and according to Genesis, God created the heavens and the earth.

It was Christ under the direction of the Father.

The purpose of earth is to provide a place for God's children to gain a body, have mortal experiences and prove themselves worthy to return to live with Him.
We believe the earth will be renewed and receive it's paradisical glory after the Second Coming.

It was GOD the father.. who gave his only beloved son to his people. You can't get to GOD without going through Jesus. Thank you.
