DO NOT buy any car off ebay (especially vintage) without seeing the car first and checking it out or having someone who knows mustangs look at it for you. There will without a doubt be problems with the car that you didn't see in the pictures or that were not disclosed by the seller. I would hate to see another person buy a project and then get discouraged because of the amount of "hidden" rust. If you find someone in your area who knows these cars then they can check out the possible problem areas and give you a good idea of what kind of shape it is in.

First off, don't buy a Mustang without checking it out, old ones can have lots of hidden rust! This especially happens when buying from the east coast or snow areas where they use salt on the roads.

You picked a good one to restore as there are a ton of books and parts available for the early Mustang

Go to any magazine store and in the car mag section you will find magazines completely dedicated to Ford Mustang cars. All those magazines have an ad section towards the back that will probably have a number of book and/or rebuild/part manuals for sale.

If you don't know anything about cars don't buy from Ebay.
Amazon.com and hemmings.com have dozens of Mustang rebuilding and info books.

Have the engine rebuilt by a Machine shop. You can do the rest. Yearone makes parts for classics. Older cars were better than todays Mexican made with Chinese parts cars.

Well unless someone is rebuilding it for you, big mistake. Those cars can be pretty tricky to put back together. But those cars are quite sexy, Hmmmmmmmm!!!!!
