No need to count calories...just cut out all the sweet stuff, cut back drastically on fats and go for fibrous carbs like long grain rice, granary bread and wholemeal pasta. Exercise evey day and you may lose 10lb in 3 or 4 weeks;

10 pounds in two weeks is not healthy. You will have to cut out way to many calories but I will answer your question because I hate when people don't answer my questions and just dance around chastising me. This is all dependant on your height, starting weight and activity level. But for examples sake lets use an average 2000 calories for your daily requirement. One pound is equaled to 3500 calories so 10 pounds is equaled to 35,000 calories, which is what you will need to burn off. To burn that many calories in 14 days, you will need to burn an average of 2,500 calories a day each day. You will essentually have to starve yourself for 14 days. If you do this, here's what can happen: muscle mass wasting away, heart and major organ failure, decreased skin tone and brightness, hair falling out, a stopage of menstruation, and possibly death. Your body needs calories to keep it's functions going and cutting too much can be detrimental to your health. Check out www.caloriesperhour.com, there are several weight loss tools including a weight loss calculator, and an activity guide that tells you how many calories you'll burn doing different activities based on your height and weight.

The safest amount of weight you should try to lose per week is 2lbs. When you are just starting a diet, you might notice a more significant initial weight loss but you should aim for 2lbs per week over the length of your diet. As for the number of calories you'll need to eat to do this, it really depends on your weight. In general, you'll need a calorie deficit of 1000 calories per day to lose 2lbs per week. (basically you would want to exercise for an hour or so and try to burn 500 or so calories each day, and also eat a bit less so you can save 500 calories each day). You can figure out your exact number of calories at http://www.sparkpeople.com

Calculate how many you need to eat a day - you should burn more than you are taking in overall.
3, 500 = 1 pound
You'd have to calculate how many calories your age/weight/body type would need to consume in a day (see link below) and then subtract 3,500 calories from that.
So you'd have to eat next to nothing and run a lot to consume a negative 3,500 calories. (Not actually a healthy goal! You should take it a bit slower).
