Figure out your daily calorie maintainence level (your BMR adjusted for your activity level- you can do a internet search for BMR calculator and find sites that compute it for u- just make sure they take into account activity/fitness level).

So reducing that calorie intake by 20-25% will have you burning more calories than you are taking in, resulting in weight loss. If you are choosing good foods for your meals, and are doing cardio and exercise, that helps too. You can throw in a higher calorie day every 3rd or 4th day (without the % reduction) to keep your metabolism guessing.
Cut out as much sugar from your diet as possible (sodas, foods, etc). Stick with good lean protein sources (tuna, fish, chicken). Try and spread out the calories you need between more meals. Eating more frequently than the traditional 3 meals a day helps to speed up the metabolism. Try not to eat your last meal close to bedtime (give it 2-3 hours before).
Once you've lost some weight (say every 10-15 lbs) refigure the calorie intake numbers so you take into account your new lower weight.
Just keep in mind, a healthy and realistic weight loss rate is 2 lbs per week (even if you are doing weights, cardio, etc). Keep sticking with it.

I lost 100 lbs. It's very basic...eat less, move more. Watch what you eat, exercise, drink lots of water. Slim Fast has a site that will help you for free. You don't have to use their products, either. Portion control is VERY important. Read labels. For exercise, all you have to do is get some good shoes and walk. You don't have to spend a lot of money, which is good because I don't have a lot to spend. Good luck!!

ask your doctor first to make sure you are healthy enough. burn more calories than ate for the day. high protien, good carbs,and hydroxy cut !!!! NO FAST FOOD for at least 6 months. pita pockets instead of braed or WHOLE GRAIN bread. definitly join your local gym and go 5 days a week for an hour and a half. i lost 75 pounds.
i love the way i look and guess what... i now work at the gym 5 days a week.
