12 jalapeno peppers, sliced in half lengthwise, seeds removed
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons water
dash salt
1 cup plain dry breadcrumbs
oil for deep frying
Fill jalapeno pepper halves with cream cheese and press halves back together. Combine eggs, water and salt. Dip jalapeno peppers into egg mixture and into breadcrumbs. Place on a cookie sheet and freeze for 2 hours.
Heat oil in deep fryer to 370°. Deep fry peppers in batches for about 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Transfer jalapeno poppers to paper towels to drain.

1/4 cup mayonnaise
15 fresh jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded

1 1/2 cups crushed corn flake cereal
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a medium baking sheet.
In a medium bowl, mix together cream cheese, sharp Cheddar cheese and mayonnaise. Stuff jalapeno halves with the mixture.
Whisk together eggs and milk in a small bowl. Place crushed corn flake cereal in a separate small bowl.
Dip each stuffed jalapeno half into the egg and milk mixture, then roll in corn flake cereal to coat.
Arrange in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 30 minutes, or until filling is bubbly and lightly browned.

Basic Poppers
Jalapeno Poppers 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
4 ounces Monterey jack cheese, shredded
6 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled, optional
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs sour cream, onion dip or ranch salad dressing
In a mixing bowl,combine cheeses, bacon and seasonings.; mix well.Spoon about 2 Tbs. into each pepper half. Roll in bread crumbs. Place in a greased 15x10x1" baking pan. Bake, uncovered, 300 degrees for 20 min. for spicy flavor, 30 min. for med. and 40 min. for mild.Serve with sour cream or dressing.

Jalapeno Poppers:
40 min 20 min prep
20 Pieces
10 fresh jalapenos
8 ounces cream cheese
10 pieces thin-sliced bacon, cut in half
1. Cut jalapenos in half and remove seeds and veins.
2. (Use gloves to work with peppers).
3. Fill jalpenos with cream cheese and wrap a slice of bacon around each one.
4. Secure with a toothpick.
5. Bake at 425 degrees until bacon appears to be done, about 15-20 minutes.
