Is it true that most men, while they want you to say yes to sleeping with them sooner when you first start dating, that they secretly want you to say no. A man is more likely to get serious with a woman who waits longer to have sex, right? I just started seeing someone great, and the chemistry is strong, but I don't want to ruin anything by jumping into sex too soon. There is something special about this one. He isn't pressuring me, but it's getting increasingly difficult to hold off. We're both adults, and I know that sex is a natural part of the progression of a relationship, but I have been in relationships that were ruined by sex too soon. Any thoughts?

You have learnt lessons before. So you definitely need to put your lessons into practice this time by holding off for some more time which the two of you consider reasonable.Use this time to get to know him better and establish a very strong emotional bond between the two of you. This will help a lot in the long run.
Stronger the emotional connection longer will the relationship last.
Men like the thrill of chase. But if you become predictable, easily accessible, needy and always available, chances are good that you spoil all the fun of dating.
Good Luck!

Yeah, sex too soon could ruin your relationship. Just hold off a bit longer. Since you didn't really give any specific time frames, I'll just say that when you think it's been long enough, then have at it. However, "long enough" changes from person to person. It could be anywhere from 3 months to a year to marriage, depending on what you and your guy think is right.

Good Question!! From what i've learned about men, Most men i know do not want a real serious relationship with a woman who treats sex casually. That behavior is for a one-night-stand, not a long term girlfriend. Regarding your situation with this guy - the chemistry might be strong, so its hard for you to hold off, which is why you might have to limit yourself to seeing him less each week, until you decide you want to sleep with him...

I know its hard..but its best to make him wait a bit more. It's awesome that he's not making any moves on you so soon. It means he respects you!!
