What gave you that idea? Personally I don't insult people very often. But if I did, it certainly wouldn't be because I wanted to seem less arrogant.

I'm an atheist, and for the most part I don't insult christians. When I do it is not because I want to look less arrogant; in fact I am well aware that it makes me look more arrogant than I would otherwise look. I do it in order to make the christians in question look like morons (which they usually are, because if they weren't I probably wouldn't be insulting them).

That does't make any sense what-so-ever. Who would think insulting people would make them less arrogant?
Besides, the same type of Atheists who would insult Christians is the same type of Christian who would insult Atheists or any other group. They are either trolls, irritated, or just jerky people.

I feel sorry for those who actually are atheist because those people have definitely confused the tools with the User, the tools being evolution, the so-called big bang, planetary accretion, and all the rest of science. Science only tells us _how_ something happens and never _who_ instituted the act. Science is blind to everything but physical objects whether those objects be individual sub-atomic particles or stars found in space. There are those who claim atheism but who really are not atheist. A true atheist does not _care_ if someone believes in "a god" since the true atheist "knows" that there are none. That is why, IMO, the so-called atheists that we find trolling here on Answers are not true atheists, they probably are just those who want to discuss, argue, and "cuss at" religion in general.

If an adult went around telling everyone that Santa Claus was real, or Superman, or Bugs Bunny... how would a sane person react? You would want to lock them up. If billions of people (Islamic, Jews, Christians, etc) collectively professed a belief in the absurd, a sane person would want to correct them and set them on the right path for their own good and the good of this planet.
To this people I continue to say... are not cavemen and cavewomen anymore. Magic and Genie and fairies and impossible Gods do NOT exist. You have no idea how ridiculous the notion of this is!
But no matter what I say, it doesn't work... that's the crazy part of all of this.

Well, using a straight up insult would appear far less arrogant than your little "question" here.

Let me see, the atheist says that we are an insignificant dot in the universe, not created for any purpose but are the result of blind but not random evolution.
The theist says that we are the entire reason for the universe to exist, that everything else was created by god for us to rule over.
Now tell me again who is the arrogant one?

Our very existence, and our thought process, is an insult to Christians. It's not intentional. You simply don't like the way we think. We understand and accept this.
We just wish you would.
