Im 17 turning 18. And i'll be two years left behind that other students in highschool. I know its not normal. I didnt get left back cause of grades, im just taking care of myself cause i have no parents and twice ive dropped out of school to focus more on life and taking care of myself.

I dont want to be a highschool drop out. Has it happened before where guys are older and go back to highschool to finish?

A GED is a General Education Diploma and is similar to a high school diploma. It will allow you to go to college but you will have to start out in a community college to get your associates then you can move on to a state college for your bachelors and or Masters or Doctorate. I commend you for wanting to continue your education. Education is one of the most important things to have. The more you have, the more you will make.
The problem with dropping out of high school and just studying for a GED is that in high school you have structure which makes you study a certain path which will enhance your college path. If you study on your own for a GED you must have your own discipline to study and then go and pass the test. Either way I commend you and wish you the best of luck and many Blessings from God on your journey.

Yes, you can take a GED course and get you diploma. Then apply to some colleges. But, learn not to get stressed. If you are stressed at highschool, it will probably be worse at college. Good Luck.OH, because you are on your own and at your age, your college should not cost much if anything. Go to your highschool guidance office and get a FAF form and fill it out.

A high school diploma is important, but if you cant finish then a GED is the next best thing. You can go to college with it. You have to have one or the other. For yourself. You will wish you had it later on if you dont.

yeah, try getting your GED and taking classes at a nearby junior college to build up credits. Then pick your expensive college to finish off at (this impresses the rich whites) and make sure the classes you are taking will transfer. A guidance counselor should know more.
