They are one and the same.
The easiest way to get there is by subway/monorail called MARTA. It will take you straight there inside the terminal. It's only $1.25 per trip per person.
The airport is located on I-85 (interstate) just south of the I-75/I-85 split as you leave the city.
You can either take I-285 (perimeter highway) to 85 going north or west, 75/85 to 85 going south, or just 85 going north, depending on which way you are getting there.
