Besides Chicken soup?
Orange juice or pomegranite juice (antioxidants and vit. C for the immune system)
Toast maybe with a little jam (easy on the tummy)
Jell-o (again, easy on the tummy)
Chinese hot and sour soup
Anything with a little spicy kick in it to clear out the sinuses...
Hope you feel better soon.

Some good suggestions are, A Vegetable Broth, any home-made Cream soup, a little mashed cooked egg, rice cooked with a little broth, little meatballs cooked in Chicken Broth, mashed potatoes with a little of the water they were cooked in and a little salt, ice-cream and jello, lots of juices.
You can always make a a Veal or Beef Broth served clear or with some cooked vegetables or pastina inside, the beef can be shredded and served separately served with a little oil and parsley, Boiled chicken from your Chicken Broth can be given also. Little pieces of fruit, such a bananas, will give some substance.
Little bits of muffins, coffee-cake, sponge-cake, soft donuts can be given. These hold little nutrients, but will give some substance to the invalid... Hope this helps.

lol the chicken noodle soup is best, drink lots of hot tea and make jello, stay away from milkproducts, since they will cause even more congestion. an old cold remedy is gargling with saltwater for sore throats, if u can get zinctabletss they will help u get over the cold a little faster and if u have small kids with earaches try saltsocks ( put salt in a sock, tie knot in it, microwave for about 45 sec, lay down with sore ear on it) that will help drain fluid out from behind eardrums

How about tomato soup and grilled cheese? Unless it's a stomach problem and not a cold....
Or stew? That's good for feeling better.
Or your best bet is to get Mom to come cook for you, that always makes everything all better!!

I prefer toast or grilled cheese when I am not feeling well. Also, maybe a scoop of ice cream.

jello tea is a good way to go for simple easy calories. it tastes good(if you like sweet) and has some protein in it from the gelatin. works good if you can't hold things down, and kids really like it:-)
Hope you feel better soon!
