what is the safe and maxium pressure of a seamless perspex tube sizes are.12 inches long.3.1/2 inches inside diameta.with a 1/4 inch wall thickness.anser in lbs per square inch of compressed air please.

You didn't mention how the tube will be retained at either end. The problem is liable to be at these fittings , rather than with the tube itself.

Perspex isn't normally used to retain pressure. I don't know what your project is, but if you are decided on PERSPEX i'd take expert advice. I'm sure there are many other plastics which would be more suitable- such as those found in low presure "sight glasses" in the chemical industry.

I reckon you should contact a manufacturer of "sight glasses" otherwise known as "gauge glasses". Many of their low pressure ones are made of clear plastic tubing- but not "perspex".

14.7 PSI, better known as atmospheric pressure.

Unless you put some ends on a tube thats the maximum pressure you will ever get in it
