After sweetening your coffee or tea, exactly where do you put them? I've seen everything from stuffing them back into the container to throwing them on the floor.

What if you are dining outside and the wind would blow them away if you just left them sitting there? In busy restaurants I always see little pink or blue strips on the floor. I don't know why I'm so concerned with this. One of my resolutions is to be kinder to my planet!

If I had a meal with the coffee then I put the packets on the napkin I've just used and then put that on the plate then I put the cup on top of it if I were outside. If no meal then I just neatly put the packets on the saucer. If no saucer I simply put the Cup on the packets.
Outside I always put the cup ontop of the packets so they don't blow away!
I Just do out of habit never ever really thought about it! Well I spent half my childhood in the Country where My Grandmother & Step Grandfather had a Restaurant. Helping there I must've picked up habit of what I seen done most!

Generally I use them to put my gum in and place them on the plate after I'm done eating. A good restaurant will pre-bus your table.

I usually set mine to the side until I'm done eating, then I put them on my plate to make it easier to clean the table.

I would set them aside on the table, when you are done with your meal, put them on the plate and the server will remove them .

The proper thing to do is place them on your saucer. If you have no saucer, then you should place them on the table near your plate so they can be removed.

I put them where they are out of the way and then use them to rest my tea spoon on.(I hate to have my utensils touching the table.)
