I dont like checkpoints of any kind, but what the hell if thier out there looking for drunks and drugs why not illegals too,it only takes a matter of minutes to run a check thru the N.C.I.C. and even though some have obtained their licenses with false documents im sure some will be caught, after all we profiled people of mideast descent after 9/11 we still profile african americans and longhaired white guys like myself so if i dont have a problem with it why should anyone else, welcome to America, love it.hate it,or leave it!

They should, but the police complain that they already have enough work to do.

Good Idea!
But you can't get this administration to commit to actually doing ANYTHING that resembles what the people are demanding.

That is what scares me. People have been known to take matters into their own hands when they are frustrated and nothing is being done to protect them. I do not want to live in a war zone.

We must get the attention of our local politicians and move up from there. May God bless America.

Oh, that's not on the list for things that illegals can't do. There's our list: Can't drink or drive, gotta pay your bills, need to pay taxes, don't drive without a license, insureance etc.etc.

Then there's the illegals list: Ok to drink and drive, don't pay taxes, let everyone else pay for your kids education but you won't have to pay taxes, not have to pay for the birth of your children, OK to break the law in general and if you get caught maybe we will just let you go. etc etc.

Two standards of law and order in the USA.
Gotta say the US has it ALL!

Apparently I was told our law inforcement cant even do there jobs they fear UCLA will stand up for illegals and the illegals will sue the officers. I wish I could find the link I was reading, but apparently the illegals who have committed felonies and been deported come back to the states and all they have to do is yell racist and its out of control.

You are incorrect. I live in Arizona and there are numerous border patrol checkpoints. They also patrol in the deserts in vehicles and by air. Our Border Patrol Agents stop and send hundreds of illegal immigrants back across the border every month.

They complain about ANY check point. I don't care if it's alcohol or drugs or child safety seats because whatever it is they always bust more of them ,even when it's every car stopped and the police are accused of "targeting" them. Couldn't possibly be they just don't like to obey any law.

Either way you go its profiling - Profiling has been ruled to be illegal, But your argument make sense your targeting drunks who are breaking the law so why not target illegals that are breaking the law.

Drive around Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, or California's border areas and you will find a bunch of them. They are probably in other states as well.

I would love the idea but you know they will call it racist!!

But if they have nothing to hide (like actually being a legal citizen), then what is the problem???

They SHOULD do that!!! But, UNFORTUNATELY, the ACLU (the Anti Citizen Commuinist League) would sue them, because it would not be politically correct. I say "F" the ACLU and political UNcorrectness!!!! They will be the DEATH of this country!!
