Me and my wife have been togather since the fall of 2005. She was in college so i moved 5 hours from my boys for a year so she could finish college. i asked her to get a siter for her daughter for a night so we could do something and she told me it was ok for me to ask her to get a siter but unreasonable for me to exspect her to ever get a sitter. things like this happen alot. shes even went as far as telling me she thought marring me ment she could live her life with me in it. I really do love her. Did i make a mistake marrying her ?

marriage can be so difficult in the best of times so when worse times hit it really makes you question your decisions. all i can tell you is don't give up if you love her and maybe see if she would be willing to go and talk to someone with you to help open communication between you. sometimes things in a persons past make it hard to be honest and unselfish with someone that truly matter to them. she might not even realize you see her as being selfish

Doesn't sound like your very happy. I think u would be better at answering this question than anybody else.
Seems your holding some resentment about moving away from your boys. If a woman tries to take a mans children from him, she is a selfish biT*h.

I don't understand ... if she's your wife and her daughter lives with the both of you, why didn't you go and get a sitter? What a nice suprise that would've been for your wife, a sitter and a night out!
By the way, if you start adding up all the things you've done for her against all the things she's done for you, you will both be miserable your entire lives. Stop building a case against your wife and try to remember you are both on the same side, you are supposed to be one now.

If you love her then no you mead no mistake besides not letting her know what you wanted out of marrige before you married her. I think you need to talk to her. Set her down explane to her that a marrige is equal you both agree on things and it isn't her marring you and living her life with you in it it is now YOUR guys life not just hers that she needs to realize you've given up alot for her and it wouldn't kill her to at least get a sitter a few times a month to spend some time with the man she clams to love.

I am sure you are both fairly young. Many people who are young adults these days are selfish. If you really love her ask yourself why? If you come up with a genuine answer then wait it out a year or two, she may grow up and the kids will not suffure through a diviorce, If you can not find a reason other them sex as to why you love her. Cut her loose and count it up as life experience. Sounds to me like you could both use a little marriage councelling?

It sounds like she just wants to maintain a little of herself and some independence. Maybe she is afraid of being "run-over" by a man ( what happened with her daughters dad)?? If she is not wanting a true partnership though then maybe you should bail. You dont want to be an attachment to her life im guessing. Try to find out if she is just trying to maintain herself or just have you around. good luck.

no i dont think that she is selfish i think that children should always come first that is your own flesh and blood and you need to work out family activities if your wife and her daughter if she is not comfortable with a babysitter.marriage is about compramises.
