A relative of mine has severe stomach pain (worse in the evening). He's been to the ER multiple times in '06 and already once in '07. He has to take pain meds and ambien CR just to make it through the night. he also has strange spikes in his temperature (typically VERY high) after taking a shower, even if the last 5 minutes of the shower was cold water only. pancreas has been checked along with thyroid, liver, and multiple other things. mayo clinic said there is nothing they can do. i've never heard of anybody having to go through life in this much pain. they have said it could be scar tissue. but isn't there something that can be done for this? or is he going to be in pain for the rest of his life? anybody else ever heard of this and maybe know what it could be? chromes and IBS have been ruled out too. thank you for your help! ;o)

no, appendix and GERD have been ruled out. this has been going on for over a year now. so if it was his appendix, they would have found that by now, or he would have keeled over, lol. just about every test that can be run has come back normal or inconclusive.

Has your relative been tested for Celiac Disease? Celiac is a disease in which your immune system attacks the villi in the intestine after consuming gluten. This reaction can also happen after topical exposure if there's a chance that it got into their mouth, such as with shampoo in the shower or body lotion after the shower. Some Celiacs experience fevers after ingesting gluten. Gluten is the protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and oats. Celiac can cause extreme abdominal pain. Before I was diagnosed I would literally fall over in pain when it got really bad. Visit www.celiac.com for more information. Good luck!

First, are u sure it is not his appendix? If he has no appetite and starts throwin up, it will be his appendix has bursted.
This could just be acid reflex--get him some pepcid ac tablets.
An apple is good for the stomach also.
He probablyl needs acid reducers.
Fill him an empty soda bottle with hot water and put on his pain on stomach.
The medicine may be hurting him worser.

He needs to follow up with a gastroenterologist, and stop using the ER for non-emergent, chronic conditions.
