i was driving last night at 70 mph and the cruise shut off by it self the car slowed down couldnt get over 50mph the trasmission stop shifting.u get up to 30mph all the faster it will go now

sounds like it's stuck in first gear, could be something like a shift modulator or maybe a vacuum line off preventing it from shifting into other gears.... you might be able to shift it manually into 2nd & 3rd with the lever.... if you don't know where to look for the problem it might be best to take to reputable tranny shop and have then look at it, if it's not slipping or grinding/clunking the transmission's probably o.k. just probably needs something electronic or vacuum related replaced.

Check for burned out tail lights and replace.Usually this causes cruise control to stop working.check for engine codes.Could be a speed sensor problem.

Sounds like you need to get to a shop with a diagnostic machine. You may have a computer or transmission problem.

You need a rebuild on it for years from 1994 and on those transmissions have been going bad. My parents had a 94 and it started going bad and they traded it in for a honda.

See if your car has individual coils on each spark plug. My dads 2001 has them and 1 went bad and did the same thing your car is doing.

I own a 94,been there.The transmission shift sileniod is gone.Replace it,bout $25.00

You have some sort of problem with your car and it has gone into "limp home" mode. Take it in for service.
