I have never come across this in my studies.
Horses were military machines back then. Jesus did not ride a horse into Jerusalem, but sat on the back of an @ss.(Symbolic of the men that would carry the distorted gospel.)
The symbology on turning out the horse would be that, Jesus is the Prince of Peace and makes war with the Word at His Mouth.
