Jelly on top. If you want to get adventurous, just flip the sandwich over. Drama!

Well I'd put the peanut butter on the bottom slice and then the jelly on top of the peanut butter then the other slice of bread on top of this. If you put the jelly on a slice of bread and then the peanut butter on the other slice make sure that you turn the peanut butter slice over on top of the jelly slice. Because if you take the slice of bread with the jelly on it and turn it over to put it on the slice with the peanut butter, wellll the jelly will most likely fall off of the slice of bread. But once they are together it doesn't really matter which is top or bottom.

I make my peanut butter and jelly sandwich by putting peanut butter on both slices of bread first then I spread jelly over the peanut butter on the bottom piece. I like peanut butter a lot and sometimes skip the jelly or put brown or white sugar on the peanut butter instead of jelly.

The important thing to remember is to put the jelly and the peanut butter on the inside of the sandwich. It is very messy eating with the peanut butter OR the jelly on the outside.

When I make a PB & J sandwich I will put peanutbutter and jelly on both pieces of bread and then put the the top and bottom together. This is just how my mom would do it for us.

It does not matter most of the time to me. If I had to choose I would say peanut butter of the top so the jelly didnt fall out.

I always put the jelly on the top piece. I didn't actually realize this till you asked, so I don't know why.

I'm picky about this. I have to eat it with the jam on TOP because when i take a bite and it oozes out, I like to see the layer of jam on top of the layer of peanut butter (because the jam is see-through) and it is appetizing.

Top...always. And the sandwich should be cut diagonally from the top left to the bottom right.
