Possible side effects of the pills can include sore breasts (hey, these are hormone pills, ya know!) but if it's only on one side, you might have an infection totally unrelated to the pills. My take? Go get a pregnancy test and take it to clear that possibility-- then talk to the nurse line/ clinic/ doc about the sore nipple thing. Just do it today so you don't have to dwell on it, you got better stuff to do than worry. Either way, you should probably have an expert opinion, even if it's just a three minute phone call. Best of luck!

Yes, they get sore because an increase of hormone activity causes it with/or without birth control. After taking the pills for a few months, the side effects should go away (from patient experience) or else you need to see your doctor for a new birth control prescription.

Most definitely. I only took them for less than a year after my first child, and ever since, I have sore breast. This past October, I had a mastectomy because of breast cancer, which can be caused from birth control according to my Oncologist. However, he said I did NOT take them long enough to have that effect on me.

Yes but in my personal experience, it is not as bad as without the pills. I may be weird though.
