I use SUNSILK ANTI FLAT, the ENTIRE LINE!
They work great! I saw the suggestion of not washing it, but that just makes my hair flatter. I don't know how that could help.
However, Sunsilk has the line that makes a miraculous difference to me and you can get all three products you need for around ten dollars TOTAL, always a plus!

I use the shampoo, conditioner, and anti flat creme. My hair looks at least twice as full. I have turned several friends onto this and they all thanked me. I hope you give it a try before you spend a small fortune. I buy mine at Wal Mart, but any drug store should have it.

Good luck! Remember, Sunsilk in the yellow bottles. They also have a great website.
(I swear I don't work for sunsilk! I am a 32 year old woman who has very very fine hair!)

Coming from personal experience...I have tried a lot of things. Salon Shampoos and conditioners, creams, blow drying my hair upside down, twisting it up in a towel and drying it this way, volumizing hairspray, gel and mousse. Nothing worked. So I got a loose perm instead and now my hair has body, and I have extremely thin hair to begin with.

You can put whatever cream you want into your hair. But just so you know...they are not adding body, this is a complete gimmick. They are adding buildup which makes the strand look thicker. Another thing you can do is highlights and low lights. They give a more dimensional look to your hair so it looks like there's more.

Also...even if your hair is shorter you will still have a hard time finding a product that actually works. My hair was chin length and it still would not have any volume no matter what I did to it.

I don't know what color your hair is, but adding low-lights to ones hair makes it look thicker. Don't confuse this with a bleaching process, that will make your hair look thinner. Adding color will also swell the cuticle, which helps the fullness.

Strategic coloring gives hair the illusion of fullness with dimension.

Also, finding a nice mousse and a good hair dryer for styling helps the fullness.

Most thickening products help a lot. You can try www.redkenonline.com or www.renefurtereronline.com for some great products. Sometimes on a production I use gelatin and water..yes I do. It makes the hair thicker and you don't need a lot.
Those are just of few of my secrets.

depending on the length of your hair, you can use velcro rollers to add volume. They dont leave you with much for curl but have really done wonders to give my long flat straight hair a fuller look. Also try mouse or gel in your hair before hand to up the volume.

You could color it or put on a clear glaze if you don't want to add color.

Garnier Fructose (volumizer) put in on before you blowdry your hair...and when you blow dry your hair...do it upside down, meaning look down @ the floor so that you're mostly drying the crown and the back of your hair...so that when you are finish and you lift your head.....your hair will look fuller/thicker.
