First you should probably check your A/C system filter and see if it needs to be changed. Then since the problem seems to be so isolated, I would invest in one of those air purifyers. This will help keep the air circulating, which will keep the dust from settling on a surface, and while it's in the air the machine will filter out all of the dust objects. Keeping the air circulating is the best way to prevent the dust from piling up. You can find one of these at any wal mart or there are more expensive versions available at places like sharper image. Best of Luck, and Happy New Year!

Get a good vacuum that has an attachment for dusting as well(I have a Kirby). I am a strong believer that you have to vacuum up the dust and get it out of the house. Traditional dusting just stirs it up a lot of the times, and it comes right back. Go through the whole house with the vacuum attachment once a month or so, and suck up everything... vacuum the air vents, furniture (wooden and fabric), under the stove, fridge, etc. Stick your pillows in a trash bag, then seal the trash bag around your vacuum hose to suck all the dust, dust mites, and skin cells off of those. Vacuum your mattress. Get it all out of the house.

Is it just your bathroom or your whole house? If it's just your bathroom, then maybe it's not just dust. I know my bathroom surfaces frequently get buildup from hairspray. Also, the moisture in your bathroom may cause any dirt or dust to stick to surfaces more than they would in another room. Use an exhaust fan, if you have one, anytime you're in the bathroom and just keep wiping everything clean when you see it's getting dirty or dusty.

It is more than likely caused by the toilet paper you are using.
If you are using one of the newer ones that are really soft, notice if there is a lot more dust around where the toilet paper is.
If you will use the less expensive kind that is found in public rest rooms, you will avoid the dust problem.

Change your toilet paper. IT is probably the source of most of the "dust" as some brands have a lot of lint, which gets everywhere.
